Congenital Diaphragmatic Hernia

Abstract
The hernia through the foramen of Bochdalek is the most common type of congenital dia-phragmatic hernia and scatteredly reported in childhood and adult life.
The foramen of Bochdalek is variable defect size, more frequently on the left, which is due
to incomplete fusion of pleuroperitoneal membrane.
The herniated contents were stomach, spleen, intestines and omentum etc.
The clinical, triad were dyspnea, cyanosis and dextrocardia.
The hernia is frequently associated with gastrointestinal or cardiopulmonary anomalies etc. The motality rate rises with delay in diagnosis, associated anomalies and surgical correction of the defect.
Reduction and repair were carried out via transabdominal approach.
Recently we experienced 2 cases with Lt. Bochdalek hernia and a case with Rt. Bochdalek hernia.
We report these case and review and discuss the literatures.
